I usually tell people that I'm not really a photographer, I'm an artist that understands photography. I do manage a video and photography studio but I really got into photography to capture the images I wanted for my artwork. I learned the technical sided of the craft from the photographers in my studio by watching closely and asking lots of questions. This continued to make me better, becoming obsessed with the gear and learning how to get the most out of it and use it in a variety of applications - from landscapes to portraits to commercial.
The majority of my digital work is still video but I do love photography and I think it helps me be a better videographer. Here are a few examples.
